TORONTO, June 27, 2019 – Baskin-Robbins Canada will add more flavour and fun to its line-up this July – National Ice Cream Month – thanks to its partnership with Netflix and the launch of the highly-anticipated third season of Stranger Things.

Flavour seekers and fans of the popular Netflix series will enjoy two new menu offerings – U.S.S. Butterscotch, Flavour of the Month for July featuring creamy butterscotch-flavoured ice cream loaded with butterscotch toffee and wrapped with a toffee ribbon, as well as Byers’ House Lights Polar Pizza, which is a Chocolate Chip Polar Pizza crust with Baskin-Robbins’ Made with Snickers® ice cream, drizzled with strings of fudge and M&Ms® chocolate candy.

The Byers’ House Lights Polar Pizza is the perfect treat for communicating with the nether world or watching your favourite show. Available at select Baskin-Robbins Canada locations for a limited time only

Upside Down Pralines, Elevenade Freeze, and Demogorgon Sundae, all launched in June, will remain available throughout the month of July at participating Baskin-Robbins locations across the country, along with collectable fresh packs, exclusive Baskin-Robbins and Stranger Things merchandise – including the sought-after Funko figurine in the shape of Steve Harrington holding his very own Baskin-Robbins’ U.S.S. Butterscotch Sundae.

The plans are also drawn to re-skin the Baskin-Robbins shop at Woodbine Mall – 500 Rexdale Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 6K5 – into Scoops Ahoy, an almost-exact replica of the ice cream parlour featured prominently in season three of Stranger Things, from July 4 – July 18.

“We’re having a lot of fun with this partnership,” says Baskin-Robbins Canada representative, Natalie Joseph. “We’re so glad to be able to bring to life tasty bits and pieces of this series to our guests and fans of the series. This new Scoops Ahoy temporary location has been months in the making as we wanted to make sure that when you walk into the shop you feel like you’re a part of the show. Whether you’re a super fan or casual watcher of the show, we’re sure our guests will enjoy indulging in these delicious treats in our shop. Those who can’t make it to the store can visit their local Baskin-Robbins shop to try our new U.S.S. Butterscotch, or our wide array of Stranger Things-inspired treats. ”

The location will be identical to the Scoops Ahoy featured in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana’s Starcourt Mall – complete with an ’80s look and feel; featuring Scoops Ahoy branding and logos, a complete menu redesign, redone wallpaper and tiles with the signature cream, blue, and red colour pallet from the show’s shop, and much more.

Baskin-Robbins’ Woodbine Mall location will travel to the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana and transform into Scoops Ahoy – featured in the popular Netflix series. Seen above is a mock-up of the brand’s redesign which will only be present between July 4 to July 18.

The Woodbine Mall location is one of two shops among the more than 8,000 Baskin-Robbins locations around the world to feature a Scoops Ahoy shop redesign – the other being a Baskin-Robbins located in Burbank, California.

To celebrate the launch of the shop’s redesign on July 4, starting at 11 a.m., the first 31 guests will receive a special Stranger Things-inspired gift pack, with an additional special promotion taking place that day.
