TORONTO, ON, APRIL 2, 2018 – Baskin-Robbins, the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops, introduces Boston Cream Pie as its April Flavour of the Month. The flavour, inspired by the famous dessert invented more than 150 years ago, combines all the makings of a traditional Boston Cream Pie: Boston Cream filling flavoured mousse ice cream, chocolate ice cream and pound cake pieces topped off with a chocolate swirl.
“Although Boston Cream Pie is new to Canada, the flavour is celebrating 45 years on Baskin-Robbins infamous flavour roaster, which speaks volumes to the uniqueness and timelessness of the recipe,” says Natalie Joseph, brand representative for Baskin-Robbins Canada. “We are eager for our guests to try this American classic for the very first time. A lot of Canadians love Boston Cream Pie and still more would love to visit the city. It’s not that easy to pick up and travel, but Canadians can walk into their local Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop, explore our menu and have fun traveling the world, one scoop at a time.”
Also joining the roster this month are the new Celebrations Cookie Cake and Fudge Brownie ‘n Oreo Cookie Cake, a cookie cake spin on the classic Celebration Cake and Oreo Cookie Cake. Guests have the option to choose from a chocolate chip cookie or a double fudge brownie crust, which are deliciously paired with any one of Baskin-Robbins’ classic 31 – and more – flavours.
