Baskin-Robbins Creature Creations 2.0 and July Flavour of the Month bring the beach to Canadians

New Beach Day flavour rolls into dipping cabinets along with creative lineup of ice cream treats in the shape of dolphins, sharks and turtles

TORONTO, June 29, 2021– On July 1, Baskin-Robbins Canada introduces its second lineup of Creature Creations, with the theme “Into the Sea”. Version 2.0 of the refreshingly different and edible ice cream treats features a dolphin, shark and turtle. Specially priced at $4.99, this 4oz scoop, Creature Creations – Into the Sea is available throughout National Ice Cream Month and straight through to December or while supplies last.

“July is the perfect time to enjoy the beach and ice cream,” says Natalie Joseph, spokesperson for Baskin-Robbins Canada. “It’s not always easy to head out for a day at the beach, so we thought we’d bring the fun of the beach to our guests through the fascinating world of ice cream. I cannot think of a better way to celebrate National Ice Cream Month!”

The new creatures go swimmingly well with the brand’s July Flavour of the Month, Beach Day. Inspired by everything under the sea, this colourful and tasty flavour offers a balance of sweet and salty to your palate. The real star of this scoop show is the blue salted vanilla ice cream made with sea salt from ponds from the Pacific Ocean. To top it all off, the flavour features milk chocolate caramel-filled turtles, blue and green freckled frosting bits and a graham cracker ribbon.

“The vanilla pairs really well with the crunchy graham cracker ribbon,” says Mike Gooding, a 34-year veteran at Baskin-Robbins Canada who, over the course of his career, has likely sampled most of the brand’s more than 1,300 flavours. “Our product development teams never cease to amaze me. As we approach 50 years of business in Canada, my colleagues keep finding new and exciting ways to surprise our Canadian guests and, in looking at our delivery, takeout and general sales, I’m happy to see we’re looking healthy for the next 50 years.”

The new creatures replace the monster, unicorn and mermaid Creature Creations launched in July 2020. The new product category received strong feedback from customers across North America.

Throughout the pandemic, Baskin-Robbins Canada’s 105 shops have continued to serve their guests, often times through delivery and takeout, according to provincial COVID-19 health and safety protocols.  Please refer to the company’s store locator for hours of operation and service/delivery options in your community.
