Baskin-Robbins Canada sets record for new product introductions – launches two new ice cream flavours, one new cake and one new non-dairy frozen dessert in past 30 days

TORONTO, May 1, 2022 – Spring has definitely sprung at Baskin-Robbins Canada. The brand that is renowned for its assortment of flavour options, officially launches today its newest flavour of the month, Breakfast in Bed, and this time it’s accompanied by three additional product launches – Ube Coconut Swirl, Non-Dairy Mint Chocochunk and Tall Stack Cake.

“The melody ‘Make new friends but keep the old’ keeps popping into my head,” says Natalie Joseph, spokesperson for Baskin-Robbins in Canada. “We’re introducing delicious new flavours while, at the same time, keeping an assortment of our classics in our dipping cabinets. I think we’re approaching 1,400 flavours in our repertoire. It’s a very exciting time at Baskin-Robbins as we’re expanding both in our network and menu options.”

Available at all Canadian locations as the May Flavour of the Month, Breakfast in Bed features a combination of creamy buttermilk pancake and maple syrup-flavoured ice cream with fluffy pancake pieces and is drizzled with a blueberry compote ribbon that tops off the breakfast experience. Ube Coconut Swirl (pronounced “oo-beh”) finds its inspiration from a vibrant purple yam, “ube”, originally from the Philippines. It features Ube-flavoured and coconut-flavoured ice cream, topped with Ube-flavoured swirls. Sweet and nutty, the flavour is deliciously complemented by rich, coconut-flavored ice cream, vanilla and shreds of coconut to provide a subtle bit of texture. Rounding out the new flavours is Non-Dairy Mint Chocochunk, featuring sweet mint and thick chocolate chunks, topped by a fudge swirl and a melt-in-your-mouth coconut milk base. Finally, Baskin-Robbins’ newest cake, Tall Stack Cake, offers a pancake stack that pairs perfectly with the new Breakfast in Bed flavour but also with any available ice cream flavour for a personalized Mother’s Day treat.

“May is always a special time of year,” concludes Joseph. “It’s also about new life and the renewed energy that comes with spring. There’s no better time to celebrate life, loved ones and fun food. We hope our guests have enough options with which to surprise and delight their precious mothers.”
