BASKIN-ROBBINS LAUNCHES WARM COOKIE ICE CREAM SANDWICHES AND SUNDAES

TORONTO, ON, (March 1, 2016) Baskin-Robbins, the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops, has brought warm cookies and ice cream together to create its new Warm Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches and Sundaes. Starting today, guests can enjoy these delicious and customizable desserts at participating Canadian Baskin-Robbins locations. Additionally, Baskin-Robbins is introducing a new March Flavour of the Month, Easter Egg Hunt, which features green and white chocolate-flavoured ice cream with pastel-coloured candy eggs and a sweet crème ribbon.

“We’re delighted to welcome warm cookies into our lineup and there’s nothing better than to have them ‘sandwich’ our exciting lineup of flavours” said Natalie Joseph, Field Marketing Manager, Baskin-Robbins Canada. “We are confident that Canadians will enjoy not only creating, but most importantly, devouring the endless cookie and ice cream flavour combinations.”

The chewy, warmed-to-order cookie options include Dark Chocolate Chunk, Double Fudge, Peanut Butter Chocolate and White Chunk Macadamia Nut Cookies. Guests can choose their cookie and mix and match more than one type of cookie in their sandwich or sundae for the ultimate flavour experience.

The new Warm Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich and Sundae lineup includes:

Warm Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich: Features a guest’s favourite ice cream flavour sandwiched between their choice of two warmed-to-order, chewy cookies, topped with rainbow sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles or chopped almonds. Guests can also “Make it a Double” with two scoops of ice cream and three cookies.

Warm Cookie Sundae: Features a guest’s favourite ice cream flavour served with their choice of two warm and chewy cookies, topped with their choice of wet topping, whipped cream, chopped nuts and a cherry. Guests can also “Make it a Double” with two scoops of ice cream and three cookies.

Guests can get a hop on finding hidden candy eggs that are spread across an expanse of green and white chocolate-flavoured ice cream and sweet crème swirl thanks to the Baskin-Robbins March Flavour of the Month, the Easter Egg Hunt. The new flavour can be enjoyed by the scoop in a cup or cone, or as a fitting addition to a Warm Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich or Sundae.
