Brand introduces two do-it-yourself kits, extends new flavours, expands selection of cakes for Mother’s Day and ends month with deeply discounted, Celebrate 31, program
TORONTO, April 29, 2020 – Innovation is on the menu at Baskin-Robbins Canada this month. The world’s largest chain of specialty ice cream shops launches ‘do-it-yourself’ Sundae and Polar Pizza kits, allowing families to play an active role in the creation of their favourite treats.
“Sharing a dessert is one of life’s precious moments,” says Natalie Joseph, representative for Baskin-Robbins Canada. “After a long day, especially in these days of confinement, there are few activities more enjoyable than satisfying your sweet tooth in the presence of those around you, especially if it’s interactive and, well, a little messy!”
The sundae kits, which serve up to five, include a choice of two pre-pack flavours, toppings such as fudge, sprinkles, gummy worms and more, as well as items like whipped cream, cherries, cups, spoons and napkins. The Polar Pizza kits come with a pre-pack of ice cream and all the toppings to make a full Polar Pizza – enough to serve up to eight.
Also in May, the brand announces the extension of Chocolate Extreme, its dairy-free, plant-based vegan ice cream, as well as Cotton Candy Crackle flavour, both launched in April. Leading up to Mother’s Day, the brand is also highlighting specialty cakes like the Floral Stripe Cake that is sure to impress moms with vibrant colours, intricate detailing and mouth-watering flavours. To ensure availability, customers are encouraged to call in advance to pre-order their cake.
DIY kits are available at participating Baskin-Robbins shops in Ontario and Quebec. Most locations offer delivery through Uber Eats or SkipTheDishes, making it easy to get them delivered to your home.
To end the month of May, Baskin-Robbins continues its Celebrate 31 program, which offers a 31 per cent discount on ice cream pre-packs.
