Expressing care and concern for loved ones is easy and edible this Valentine’s Day thanks to Baskin-Robbins’ product line up

World’s leading specialty ice cream brand launches Box of Chocolates Cake, brings back seasonal favourite, Love Potion #31®

Toronto, February 4, 2021 – Love conquers all, especially when it’s on a plate, tip of a fork, spoon or tongue. That’s the timely message from Baskin-Robbins Canada this Valentine’s Day. The world’s largest specialty ice cream chain announces today the return of Love Potion #31, its popular favourite for February Flavour of the Month and the launch of Box of Chocolates Cake, a richly flavoured treat that is part cake, part romantic box of chocolates.

“We’ve invested a lot of time, love and resources to prepare for this special day and month,” says Natalie Joseph, spokesperson for Baskin-Robbins Canada. “Our team is ready to help Canadians share messages of love, friendship and support. All that’s needed is the spark to get things in motion and properly directed to those who could most benefit from some extra love this time of year.”

Carefully prepared in store in an elaborate edible heart-shaped box, Box of Chocolates Cake features any combination of cake base and ice cream with a layer of colourful icing, topped by an assortment of eight bite-sized quality chocolates.

“I love a nice box of chocolates, but this ‘out of the box’ thinking takes the cake,” said Joseph.

The new offering joins an existing line-up of Valentine-ready cakes that includes the traditional Be Mine Valentine Cake, Conversation Heart Cakes and Valentine’s Day Unicorn Cake with heart-shaped glasses to match.

For fans of ice cream and milkshakes, Baskin-Robbins has reintroduced Love Potion #31 as its February Flavour of the Month. First introduced in 1995, the popular seasonal flavour has been pleasing guests with its raspberry-filled chocolate flavoured hearts and chocolate flavoured chips, swirled with a raspberry ribbon in a white chocolate and raspberry ice cream.

To complement its Valentine’s Day campaign, Baskin-Robbins Canada has partnered with Natalia Juarez, relationship expert and founder of Lovistics to provide quarantine-friendly tips on simple ways Canadians can celebrate Valentine’s Day in 2021 – whether in a relationship, single or somewhere in between.

“The vast majority of people need a little help now and then when it comes to igniting their romantic flair,” says Juarez. “And this is especially true this year. I’m thrilled to partner with Baskin-Robbins Canada in helping Canadians get creative with this little gesture that can go a very long way to brighten someone’s day.”
